my name is parth and i’m a writer, podcast producer, and illustrator.

every day, i draw (or paint) a comic on an index card. most of them feature quotes from friends and sometimes strangers. select prints are on sale in mexico city and mazunte – email me if you’re interested in making a purchase or commissioning an illustration.

i’m also available for podcast production, editing, and consulting. i’ve reported for all of npr’s news magazines and for podcasts such as throughline, code switch, and life kit. my audio work has been featured in the atlantic, harvard’s nieman lab, the cbc, and the new york times.

outside of journalism, i regularly write and publish fiction. my stories appear in the best microfiction 2023 and 2025 anthologies.

i earned my mfa in creative writing from the university of wyoming and my bachelors degree at unc chapel hill. i’ve had the honor of teaching storytelling classes at both of my alma maters. in 2023, i received the uw slater award for excellence in undergraduate education.

my most recent side quest is acting. i made my on-screen debut at sundance 2025 with the short film susana.
